Staff from the National Quantum Computing Centre introduce quantum computing through qubits and the unusual rules of the quantum world. Explore how these machines could tackle problems far harder for ordinary computers, in an accessible online lecture for A-level students.
Join STFC Public Engagement for an online Quantum Computing Masterclass lecture designed for A-level students. The session is delivered virtually and forms part of a wider masterclass programme linked to Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.
It offers students a chance to explore one of the most exciting areas of modern science and technology in an accessible format.
The lecture is delivered by staff from the National Quantum Computing Centre and introduces quantum computing through the idea of qubits and the unusual rules of the quantum world. Students will hear how quantum computing can be used to tackle problems that are much harder for ordinary computers, making this a strong introduction for anyone interested in computer science, physics, and emerging technology.
Registration of interest is available online.
