Help welcome visitors, support early years activities in Small Worlds, or get involved in events, research and admin - no specific experience needed. Choose flexible volunteering in a creative team, with travel expenses available.
The Story Museum is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help deliver experiences for visitors and support its mission to transform lives through storytelling, especially young lives. Volunteers can help shape activities that delight visitors of all ages, contribute to the Museum’s ideas and audiences, and be part of a friendly team in a creative environment.
Volunteer roles include visitor welcome and gallery support, early years activities in Small Worlds, learning and participation support, public event volunteering, and administration or research tasks. The Museum says volunteers do not need specific experience, just a willingness to learn, work as part of a team, and get involved.
Volunteering is flexible, and online volunteering may sometimes be available. Young people aged over 13 can apply, and those under 18 need guardian permission. Travel expenses are available, and the Museum also notes that volunteering can be used in place of some work experience placements through selected school partnerships.
