The University of Essex Student Webinars are short online sessions led by university academics designed to give students a taste of higher education subjects and how academic study connects to real-world research and career pathways. Sessions include a short introduction to a topic followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
Topics across the series include management and AI, human rights, mental health and business, online safety and technology, politics, psychology, genomics and more. The Summer Webinar Series is specifically promoted to Year 11-13 students but many sessions are open to everyone.
You can sign up to the entire series and then choose which individual sessions to attend via the registration portal. Many sessions are delivered in partnership with Unifrog and individual sessions feature 'Book Now' links to register.
All webinars are online and free to attend, making them suitable for students exploring subject interests, preparing for higher education, or wanting to see how academic study links to future study and careers.
