Ready to level up before uni or work? Join Study Mind’s 5‑day immersive London work experience to build confidence and key life skills — CV and LinkedIn, public speaking, financial literacy, leadership and AI tools. Extend into industry placements and boost your prospects.

Deadline in 211 days

Study Mind's Careers & Life Skills Work Experience is an immersive, practical programme delivered in central London designed to build confidence and essential life skills for students. The standard offering is a 5-day career and life skills experience with options to extend to a second week or choose a related industry placement.

Workshops and expert-led sessions cover personal branding, CV and LinkedIn development, public speaking, financial literacy, leadership, use of AI tools for personal statements and UCAS application support. Groups are small (10-12 students) to allow hands-on teaching and personalised feedback.

The programme runs in-person in central London, with optional residential accommodation at Ramsay Hall (UCL) for students opting into the residential programme (single occupancy rooms; shared bathrooms). Industry placement days take place in top London firms and excursions are local to London.

Study Mind operates a widening participation bursary scheme (full, 75% and 50% bursaries) with its own application form and eligibility checks; bursary applicants are contacted with decisions in June (see bursary details). Students receive pre-programme materials and a certificate on completion.
