Study Mind’s Coding & AI Work Experience is an immersive, in-person summer programme for Year 12 students (and those aged 15-18) designed to build practical Python and basic machine learning skills. Across small groups (10-12 students), participants take part in expert-led workshops, hands-on coding labs, an AI project build, and visits to tech companies to see real-world applications and careers in AI.

Students choose 1-, 2- or 3-week packages which include project work, ethics and careers sessions, UCAS/personal-statement guidance, and networking with industry professionals. The programme includes practical teaching on Python, data handling, simple model training, team-based problem-solving, and sessions on AI ethics and the future of work.

On completion students receive a certificate to support university applications.

The programme runs in central London with an optional residential stay at Ramsay Hall (UCL) for those who opt for the residential package. A bursary scheme offers full, 75% and 50% places to eligible students (proof required); bursary applicants are informed from mid-June and should apply via the Study Mind bursary form.
