Want a hands‑on taste of fashion this summer? Join Study Mind’s in‑person London programme to build illustration, garment‑making and styling skills, work on real projects, get UCAS/personal‑statement guidance and meet industry pros and the University of the Arts.

Deadline in 211 days

Study Mind's Fashion Work Experience is an in-person, practical summer programme run in central London that introduces students to core fashion skills and industry practice. Through workshops and projects you will work on fashion illustration, garment making and customisation, mood board creation, styling and creative direction, and receive guidance on UCAS and personal statements.

Sessions include input from industry professionals and a visit/insight from the University of the Arts. Students can choose 1-, 2- or 3-week packages with small cohorts (10-12 students) to ensure personalised feedback.

The programme includes hands-on design tasks, portfolio development, and networking opportunities with designers and stylists. Residential options are available for those who choose the residential package.

Practical details include central London delivery with some industry placement days in London firms and excursions. Residential students stay at Ramsay Hall (UCL) in single-occupancy rooms with shared bathroom facilities; check-in is the Sunday before a programme and check-out is the Friday after.

Study Mind also offers bursaries (full, 75%, 50%) for eligible students; bursary applicants must submit evidence, an essay and a teacher reference.
