Oxford Science Studies (OXSS) runs in-person summer courses in Oxford designed for secondary school students preparing for GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A-Level examinations. Courses use small-group tuition (typically 2-4 students, maximum 6) and draw on the Oxbridge tutorial model to provide intensive, tutor-led revision, exam practice and study-skill sessions.
Typical weekly timetables include a mix of subject tuition, study skills and exam practice (the site lists 28 hours total made up of tuition, study skills and exam practice). Residential students are accommodated in boarding-house accommodation at d'Overbroeck's with twin ensuite rooms, free campus WiFi and an evening entertainment programme.
Courses are offered flexibly for 1-3 weeks so students can choose the length that meets their revision needs. The provider emphasises small class sizes and tailored lesson plans to address individual learning gaps and exam-board requirements.
OXSS is part of the Nord Anglia Education Group and is BAC-accredited. Fees are advertised as £1,350-£1,950 per week (depending on course and accommodation options). The programme is suitable for students seeking focused academic preparation ahead of the new academic year.
