Summer School 2026 is a four-week Scottish country dance school held in St Andrews, Scotland, run by the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. The programme brings together international teachers and musicians for daily practical classes (Monday-Saturday mornings) across multiple levels, additional afternoon optional classes, musicians' ensemble, and examination and music courses.
Social dancing and evening events (including public dances in Younger Hall) are included for most ticket types.
There are weekly residential and non-residential options. Resident bookings include seven nights’ accommodation, meals and all tuition and social functions; non-residents arrange their own accommodation but receive tuition and social functions.
The event includes specialist streams such as teaching-certificate units and a Music Course (week 2). Under-18s are recommended to attend Week 3 (Youth Week); Junior Summer Camp for ages 8-11 runs in Week 3 only.
Participants of all abilities are catered for with classes from Essential Skills to Challenging High Impact and Teacher training units. Practical class attendance is expected each morning, and attendees should check class descriptions and use the Class Selector when booking.

Prices vary by category and week. Early-bird pricing available until 28 February 2026. Sample prices include non-resident (under 18) from £225, resident junior/young rates from £430, adult non-resident from £510, and various resident rates up to £1950. Resident price includes seven nights' accommodation, dinner, bed, breakfast and lunch, all tuition and social functions. Non-resident prices include tuition and social functions only. Separate fees for music course and morning-classes-only options.
