Symphony Exam Academy is a completely free GCSE tuition, mentoring and leadership programme for young Black boys in Years 10 and 11. It is designed to help students build confidence, strengthen their academic foundations, and prepare effectively for their GCSE exams while being supported in an encouraging environment.
The programme runs as a two-week Easter Exam Bootcamp with daily tuition in core National Curriculum subjects, including English, Maths and Science. Alongside academic teaching, participants receive mentoring, personal development support, creative breaks, lunch, safeguarding, and opportunities such as discovery days, a parents’ evening, and a graduation moment.
The aim is to combine exam preparation with confidence-building, aspiration, and access to wider opportunities.
