EYu2019s Tax Apprenticeship Programme in Northern Ireland is a paid, work-based training route that combines on-the-job experience with formal study towards a Level 5 Diploma and professional membership of Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI), with potential progression to Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland (CIA) qualifications. The programme is aimed at school or college leavers and forms part of EYu2019s early careers offerings.
Apprentices will work across specialist tax teams, supporting tax reporting, technical research and data analysis, and using EY tools and networks to help clients manage tax matters. You will build relationships with clients, collaborate with colleagues across borders, and apply technology to tax problems while receiving regular mentoring and development support.
Key facts: the Northern Ireland programme is a two-year apprenticeship starting September 2026, with a competitive salary. Successful applicants must be prepared to remain in Northern Ireland for the full duration of the programme.
