Fortus Limited is recruiting Tax Assistant apprentices to join their tax team, working on client tax compliance and support while studying towards the ATT (Professional Accounting Technician, Level 4) qualification. Apprentices will spend most of their time learning on the job, supporting a portfolio of clients, preparing client deliverables, researching tax legislation, and contributing to tax-related processes and procedures.

Training is delivered by Kaplan Financial Limited through live online courses and block-release sessions (typically two to three days). The role is office-based with locations in Leeds, Scarborough and York.

The apprenticeship is full-time (37 hours 30 minutes per week) with a start date of 1 September 2026, a duration of 1 year 6 months, and includes benefits such as 172. 5 hours (23 days) holiday, flexible bank holidays, and health cash plan.

Applicants must hold an A Level in Maths (minimum grade C or equivalent); A Level English at grade C is desirable. On completion apprentices are supported to progress to CTA study and may receive promotions and salary increases as they complete the ATT qualification.
