This Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship places you at St Philip's CE Primary Academy in Bradford, working as part of the school team to support pupils who need additional help, including those on the SEN register or with an EHCP. Day-to-day duties include supporting learning activities for individuals and small groups, producing and adapting learning resources, supervising pupils, monitoring and recording progress, and reporting to line managers.
You will be expected to follow school policies including safeguarding and to raise concerns about welfare, behaviour or safety.
You will be employed by Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust and receive off-the-job training with Bradford College toward a Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification. The role is 35 hours per week (typically 8:30-15:30) with additional inset training paid as overtime.
The apprenticeship starts on 1 December 2025 and lasts 1 year 6 months. The employer cannot guarantee permanent employment but has previously offered permanent roles to outstanding apprentices.
