Teaching Assistant Apprentice - Merrydale Infant School

Merrydale Infant School in Leicester is recruiting Teaching Assistant Apprentices to work in a three-form-entry infant school supporting pupils' learning, wellbeing and self-esteem. Apprentices will be based primarily in the classroom, helping to implement school policies, maintain records, liaise with parents/carers and support teachers to deliver high-quality education and pastoral care.

This is a paid apprenticeship starting on Monday 5 January 2026. The role is term-time only (39 weeks per year), 30 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm). Apprentices study off-the-job with the training provider (Loughborough College) to gain a Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification and will receive blended workplace and taught delivery (including taught sessions at Loughborough College).
