Sir Robert Geffery's School is recruiting a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join its team based at School Road, Landrake, Saltash (PL12 5EA). The role is primarily workplace-based (30 hours per week, Monday-Friday) starting Monday 1 December 2025 for a 15-month Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship.

Duties include supporting teaching staff, helping set up learning environments, supporting pupils (including during lunchtime and after-school clubs), applying behaviour management and safeguarding procedures, and contributing to pupils' pastoral and academic development.

Apprentices will study with the training provider (Plymouth Argyle Football in the Community Trust) and work towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. Training includes one day per month at Argyle Community Trust (Foulston Park Community Hub), possible functional skills in English and maths if required, and an end-point assessment.

The apprenticeship may lead to potential full-time employment on successful completion. Wage for the first year is listed at £11,778 (see full details on the GOV. UK vacancy).
