Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at Spa Education Trust, Bermondsey

This Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship places you in a school host (Spa Education Trust) working under the guidance of class teachers and the leadership team to support pupils, including those with autism and moderate/severe learning difficulties. Day-to-day duties include supervising and supporting academic work (reading, writing, number work), assisting with classroom activities and resources, lunchtime supervision, supporting personal care needs, and helping pupils to develop independence and communication skills.

You will combine on-the-job learning with off-the-job training provided by the training provider (LET ME PLAY LIMITED) to achieve the Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Standard. The apprenticeship covers behaviour management, adapting resources and teaching strategies, safeguarding and Prevent, formative assessment, use of technology to support learning, and supporting learner wellbeing.

Each apprentice receives a dedicated tutor with monthly remote tutorials and reviews.
