Teaching Assistant Key Stage 2 Apprentice J3450 - South West Apprenticeship Company Ltd

This Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship offers an earn-while-you-learn route into school-based work. You will be employed by South West Apprenticeship Company Ltd (Flexi Job Agency) and supported by the host school and FIT UK Training & Education Ltd to complete the Teaching Assistant (Level 3) apprenticeship.

The role is term-time only and paid pro-rata at £11,778 for the first year (apprentice/NMW rates may vary by age).

Day-to-day duties include supporting classroom learning, delivering individual and small-group teaching within planned parameters, contributing to assessment and planning, promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding, supporting learners’ social and emotional needs, preparing resources, and assisting with enrichment activities and trips. Hours are 30 per week, Monday to Friday, with no hours during school holidays.

The role is based in-person at Prescot Road, Old Swan, Liverpool (L13 3BT).

Training includes off-the-job specialist study with FIT UK TRAINING & EDUCATION LTD toward the Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. Essential entry requirements are GCSEs in English and Maths (grades 4-9).

Applicants must pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The apprenticeship starts on 17 November 2025 and runs for approximately 1 year 9 months.
