The Tech Art Program from Vertex School is a 12-month, online bootcamp designed to prepare students for careers as Technical Artists in game and interactive studios. The curriculum covers industry tools and workflows including Unreal Engine, Houdini, Maya, shader development, procedural world-building, VFX with Niagara, and creating editor tools with Blueprints.
The program is delivered entirely online with a mix of on-demand pre-recorded lessons, live class sessions, one-on-one or small-group mentorship, and online student labs. Students complete four 12-week terms with capstone projects (e.
g. , game-ready props, shaders, procedural toolkits) and are expected to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week. A certificate is issued upon successful completion.
Admissions require an online application and an interview with an admissions representative; enrollment is completed by paying tuition or arranging a payment plan. The course is beginner-friendly, can be taken while working full-time, and is accessible to learners worldwide since it is fully remote.
