Teen Forest Club is a series of guided forest-school sessions for young women aged 12 17, run by Fernee Forest Club at Bevendean Community Garden and nearby woods in Brighton. Sessions are led by Level 3 Forest School Leaders and focus on outdoor skills, creativity, connection and confidence-building in a safe, inclusive environment (trans and non-binary participants welcome).
Activities include bushcraft (fire lighting, shelters, essential knots), den-building, campfire cooking, pond-dipping, nature crafts, slacklining, obstacle-course making, mindful nature-connection exercises and group games. The programme is designed to be participatory and responsive to the interests of the group across the series.
Sessions are in-person on Friday evenings; booking is via Eventbrite and payment is made by bank transfer (organisers email payment details after booking). The organisers encourage booking all six sessions to get the most benefit, but individual session bookings are accepted.
