A three-day residential lets you try practical and discussion-based sessions in concept art, law and psychology. Develop ideas from sketches into finished artwork, debate real-world legal issues and apply psychology research to real-life problems through design challenges that can contribute to a portfolio.
A three-day residential at Teesside University for Year 13 students, this opportunity introduces participants to a range of subject areas through practical and discussion-based sessions. The programme includes concept art, law and psychology, giving students the chance to experience different styles of university study while building useful skills and subject knowledge.
In concept art, students explore how ideas develop from sketches to finished artwork and complete creative design challenges that can contribute to a portfolio. The law sessions focus on debate, argument and critical thinking through real-world legal issues, while psychology activity looks at how psychological ideas and research can be used to address real-life problems.
The residential is designed to support future university and job applications as well as give students a taste of campus study.
