Explore placements across administration, costume and set design, marketing, technical work and more, with guidance from the Head of Academy to find a relevant fit. Meet industry professionals, access safeguarding training and build practical skills; reasonable travel expenses may be reimbursed.

Theatre Peckham offers volunteering and placement opportunities for young people who want to gain experience in the arts and creative industries. Participants can get involved in a range of departments, including administration, costume and set design, marketing, finance, fundraising, technical and venue work, as well as photography, graphic design, ushering and events.

The scheme is designed to be supportive and practical, with close guidance from the Head of Academy to help match each participant with a useful and relevant placement. Volunteers and placement participants can also access safeguarding training, meet industry professionals, build confidence, and develop transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, organisation and time management.

The theatre especially welcomes curious, creative and committed individuals who want to learn, grow and contribute to the community. It also aims to support young people who are underrepresented in the arts, and placements may be able to claim reimbursement for reasonable expenses such as travel so that cost is less of a barrier to taking part.
