Join Theatre Royal Bath’s 10-week creative writing course to explore page and performance, build original work with professional theatre-makers, connect with specialist guests and gain exclusive curatorial access to the American Museum & Gardens.
This 10-week creative writing course is for young people aged 14 to 18 who are interested in creative writing, history, and the arts. Led by a professional theatre-maker and writer, with specialist guests, it offers a chance to develop original ideas in an inspiring setting and to explore how stories can be shaped for both page and performance.
Participants will have exclusive curatorial access to the American History Museum & Gardens, giving them a rare opportunity to engage directly with the museum’s collections and the stories behind them. Across the term, they will create new written and performance-based work inspired by the museum and its exhibits.
The course concludes with an end-of-term celebratory sharing of the work developed during the programme, and selected pieces will also be showcased within the museum itself. Sessions take place in the Coach House and Stables at the American History Museum & Gardens, in partnership with Theatre Royal Bath Theatre School.
