M6 Theatre’s oldest youth theatre group is for young people in school years 11-13 who live in the Rochdale Borough. Led by experienced theatre-maker and facilitator Sarah Atherton, the group meets regularly to create theatre together in a supportive environment.
Members work collaboratively to devise an original play, build performance skills, and take part in a creative process shaped by the group itself.
The programme runs annually from September to Easter, with weekly evening sessions during term time. The group also works towards performances for friends and family, including a spring showcase and a special performance project shared across M6’s youth groups.
A small term fee is charged, and bursaries are available for families who need them. Places are limited, so interested young people are invited to join the waiting list.
