CLOSED THIS CYCLE

Think Global! - Earlscliffe is an on-campus summer school for students aged 13-17 that links English language development with contemporary global issues. The programme uses UNESCO’s Four Pillars of Learning to accelerate language skills while building critical awareness of topics such as climate change, migration and the influence of social media.

Activities include UN-style debates, academic essay writing and group research projects to develop communication and teamwork. The course delivers 20 hours per week of subject-specific academic content through interactive seminars and practical workshops.

Core modules focus on global issues in context, language for effective communication (debates, presentations and academic writing), and media, culture and perspective where students analyse sources and produce creative group projects. All students receive an end-of-course academic report and a certificate for attending.

Students benefit from a full social programme with full-day excursions (Wednesdays and Sundays) that can include Canterbury and Central London. The programme includes airport transfers from Gatwick and Heathrow and is hosted on the residential Earlscliffe campus in Folkestone.

Course lengths are 2-4 weeks with multiple summer start dates.
