Give an hour or two regularly to support library activities, develop new ideas and work alongside library staff. You’ll also attend training and shadowing sessions; limited work experience and Duke of Edinburgh placements are available, subject to conditions.

Trafford Council is regularly looking for volunteers to help at Trafford Libraries. The role is designed for people who want to support library activities and get involved in a community setting. A limited number of work experience and Duke of Edinburgh placements are also available, although conditions apply.

Volunteers are expected to give an hour or two of their time on a regular basis. You will need to be approachable, enthusiastic, and willing to take part in activities and help develop new ideas. Trafford Libraries also ask volunteers to attend training and shadowing sessions and to work alongside library staff.

Applicants must be over 16 and have a good knowledge of English and Maths.
