Join Stagecoach in Cambridge as a Trainee Bus Driver on a Level 2 Bus Driver Apprenticeship. No prior bus-driving experience is required: Stagecoach pays for and provides the training you need to gain your PCV licence while you work.
The role is based at the Cambridge depot (Stagecoach Cambridge Depot, 100 Cowley Road, CB4 0DN) and involves shift work including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
During training you will earn a training rate of £12. 21 per hour for approximately 6-8 weeks, then typical annualised earnings are £34,070 based on a 42-hour week once qualified, with enhanced overtime rates for weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
The apprenticeship provides structured learning, ongoing CPC training and an externally recognised Level 2 qualification, with no impact on your role, pay or hours.
Applicants must be 18+, hold a full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points and meet right-to-work/residency funding criteria. The role emphasises excellent customer service, safety, and a willingness to learn.
