This virtual work experience programme, delivered with Transport for Wales, introduces participants to the transport sector through an immersive online format. It is designed to help students explore what working in the industry can look like, while building awareness of key skills and possible career routes.
The experience covers rail operations, STEM careers, professional services, the future of transport, and pathways into the sector. Learners take part in quizzes, interactive activities and live webinars, and can put their knowledge into practice through scenario-based tasks and employer insight.
The programme also highlights wider themes such as sustainability, data, engineering, marketing, communications, finance and human resources. It is self-paced and on demand, with recordings available if live sessions are missed, and participants receive a certificate when they complete it.
