UCESCO Africa is seeking volunteers to support French language teaching for local communities and children in primary and secondary school settings in Nairobi, Kenya. The role is focused on helping learners build practical French communication skills that can open up educational and career opportunities, especially for young people who may not otherwise have access to language learning.
Volunteers will help create safe, engaging, and encouraging lessons, building learners’ confidence to speak, express themselves, and connect with others. The project is designed for people who want to make a direct impact through teaching, mentoring, and cultural exchange, while working in a community-based environment.
The opportunity is open to a wide range of participants, including teenagers, students, professionals, couples, families, and older volunteers. Volunteers typically contribute for 3 to 4 hours per day, with a minimum stay of 7 days, and can take part in additional activities alongside the teaching placement.
On completion, participants receive an official recommendation letter and a certificate of appreciation or recognition.
