UCL Creative Writing & Film Program 2026 is a two-week summer school programme run by Immerse Education at University College London aimed at high-school students aged 15 6 to 18. The course combines interactive workshops, scriptwriting projects and industry visits to help participants develop practical skills in screenwriting, criticism and storytelling while building a portfolio of creative work.

Students take part in example modules such as storytelling & craft, the history of screenwriting, film & TV criticism, genre exploration and scriptwriting foundations. The programme includes a portfolio project where students develop a film or TV script from idea to draft, workshop with peers and receive tutor feedback.

Industry visits and guest sessions include institutions such as the British Film Institute and The Cinema Museum, plus talks from published authors and screenwriting professionals. The programme is residential (boarding) or day-based and includes accommodation at Astor College (UCL residence), breakfast and dinner, 30 hours of academic sessions, 13 nights accommodation for boarding students, cultural excursions, 1:1 career coaching, a career development plan, a graduation ceremony and certificate.

Airport transfer options are available (fee applies) and a recommended pocket money of ~ 80/week for lunches and souvenirs.
