Want to level up your drama? Join Ufton Drama Summer School for intensive, residential training in Physical, Epic, Greek or Restoration theatre. Build practical skills, deepen theatre knowledge, collaborate in ensembles and boost your UCAS/uni prospects.

The Ufton Drama Summer School is a residential performing arts course established in 1986 that offers intensive, tutor-led study in drama and theatre practice. Courses rotate through four specialisms (Physical Theatre, Epic Theatre & Brecht, Classical Greek Theatre and English Restoration Comedy) and are linked to KS4 and A-Level examination syllabuses.

The programme is recognised by higher education institutions and aims to develop practical skills, theatre history knowledge and ensemble work.

The 2026 programme runs for one week: Classical Greek Theatre will run from Friday 24 July 2026 to Friday 31 July 2026. The course is taught by experienced drama tutors at Ufton Court, a rural Grade I listed house in West Berkshire.

The residential fee covers accommodation, tuition and meals and the school is attended by students from across the UK and internationally.

Applicants should have completed at least one year of Drama GCSE (or equivalent) by the start of the course. The summer school welcomes A-Level students, post-GCSE applicants and university students who want to broaden their performing arts experience.

Applications are made via the website; general application windows run from the beginning of September to the end of December for the following summer's course.
