Build a research proposal and deliver a group presentation in a two-week residential programme led by Cambridge-based scholars. Explore how design shapes people’s experience of the built environment through supervisions, research workshops and independent study. Accommodation and meals are included.
This two-week residential programme introduces students to architecture and design through guided academic study led by Cambridge-based scholars. Participants explore how design relates to people and the built environment, learning to analyse design challenges, develop creative approaches and think about how spaces can be made more inclusive and accessible.
Learning combines professor-led lectures, small-group supervisions, research workshops and independent study. Students work on research planning, topic selection, literature review, data analysis, academic writing and presentation skills, while also taking part in master talks and university talks that broaden their understanding of the field.
The programme also includes team-building activities and cultural experiences designed to support collaboration and personal development.
By the end of the programme, students prepare a research proposal and deliver a group presentation as part of the assessment process. They also receive feedback on their work, a Certificate of Attendance, and, for high-performing participants, further academic recognition such as recommendation letters and UCAS points.
Accommodation, meals, excursions and airport transfers are included, creating a fully residential Cambridge experience.
