Build a psychology and neuroscience research proposal through professor-led teaching, small-group supervisions and research skills sessions. You’ll shape a literature review, refine methodology and data collection ideas, then present your work as a group and submit a substantial written piece.
This two-week residential programme introduces students to Psychology and Neuroscience through professor-led lectures, small-group supervisions, research skill sessions, academic workshops and master talks. Participants explore cognition, behaviour and the scientific study of the mind, while building analytical thinking, critical evaluation and confidence in academic discussion.
Students develop a research proposal, learn how to structure a literature review, refine methodology and data collection ideas, and practise analysing and interpreting data. The programme also includes support with academic writing, team working and presentation skills, helping participants prepare a final group presentation and a substantial written submission.
Alongside the academic element, students experience Cambridge college life with full-board accommodation and a social programme that includes cultural activities and excursions to London and Oxford. The course is led by Cambridge academics, including Prof.
Nicola Clayton FRS, and offers recognised rewards such as a certificate, UCAS points and recommendation letters for strong performers.
UniHive is an independent company. It rents facilities from Cambridge colleges and has no formal connection with the University of Cambridge.
