Join Unipart Group as an Apprentice Quality Technician and start a structured engineering apprenticeship where you will gain hands-on experience inspecting industrial heat exchangers, performing pressure tests and supporting quality control processes. The role combines practical shop-floor work with formal off-the-job training one day per week at TDR Training in Newcastle, following the Engineering & Manufacturing Support Technician apprenticeship standard.

You will carry out dimensional, visual and non-destructive inspections, assist with inspection reports and certification, learn relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, ISO, PED), and maintain/calibrate inspection equipment. The apprenticeship emphasises problem solving, teamwork and safety while working alongside experienced quality technicians and engineers.

This is a full-time, onsite role based at Serck, Boldon (NE35 9PD). Hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:15. Salary is advertised at £18,000 per annum plus 33 days holiday and a benefits package including pension, life assurance, employee assistance and wellbeing support.
