Unity Radio NGY Show: 9-Week Youth Radio Programme

The NGY Show at Unity Radio is a 9-week youth radio programme for young people aged 13 to 17 from Greater Manchester. Participants join radio-training workshops twice a week and take part in a live youth radio show on Unity Radio, the North’s leading youth music station.

Across the programme, young people learn key radio-presenting skills including interviewing, planning show features, reviewing music and DJing. They also build wider skills such as leadership, teamwork, public speaking, research, creativity and time management, while working towards an Arts Award Discovery.

The programme includes four live radio shows, giving participants hands-on experience of presenting on air and contributing ideas for music, features and local issues affecting young people. It is delivered in person at Unity Radio, Media City UK, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.

30 pm to 9. 00 pm, with dinner provided each session.
