Spark4Kids Unity Skills 4 DofE

Unity Skills 4 DofE is an online game design course where attendees build video game coding and level design projects using the Unity games engine and MonoDevelop. Learners are introduced to C# and develop practical skills in creating polished, fully realised games, making it suitable for young people who want a structured introduction to coding through game development.

The course is designed for ages 13-17 and welcomes both beginners and those with prior coding experience. Sessions are led live by a remote tutor who provides real-time guidance and progress reviews, and the course contributes towards the Duke of Edinburgh Skills section.

Participants receive a Spark4Kids certificate at the end, along with a Skills Assessor report for their DofE award. Spark4Kids says attendees can join at any point during the school year and continue at their own pace until they complete their allocated sessions.

The course follows the school calendar, with weekly sessions held in the evenings and at weekends for flexibility.
