The University of Aberdeen Medicine Open Day is a one-day on-campus event held at the Suttie Centre Medical School on the Foresterhill Campus. The programme offers a series of events designed to give prospective Medicine applicants an authentic sense of studying Medicine at Aberdeen, including a medical admissions talk, a clinical skills session, an anatomy session, and opportunities to meet staff and current medical students.
There will be hands-on experiences and group activities guided by student ambassadors; attendees receive a group sticker on arrival and are expected to arrive at their booked time. The day also includes sessions tailored to parents and carers (scheduled at 10:15, 11:30 and 13:00).
A guide for the day will be emailed a couple of weeks in advance and a physical copy provided on check-in. Due to capacity, guests should be kept to a minimum and some activities are for prospective applicants only.
Bookings are made via the University of Aberdeen Undergraduate Open Days booking form; campus tours are also available on selected summer dates for those who cannot attend these Open Day dates.
