University of Aberdeen Zoology Museum Tour

Enjoy a student-led tour of the Zoology Museum at the University of Aberdeen, guided by members of the Zoology and Biological Sciences Society with support from the University Collections team. The tour introduces visitors to an extraordinary range of life on Earth, with displays spanning sea sponges, whales, small mammals, the Indian elephant and giant Japanese spider crab.

During the visit, you can see examples of taxidermy, skeletons, fluid-preserved specimens and models. The experience is designed to be informal and welcoming, and visitors are encouraged to ask questions throughout the tour.

Booking is recommended to guarantee a place, although drop-in visitors are also welcome if space allows. If the tour is full, you can still enjoy a self-guided visit to the museum. The museum is open on weekdays during the day, and group tours can also be arranged by contacting the organisers.
