Take part in interactive workshops, taster sessions and live performances exploring how languages connect with culture, creativity and global citizenship. Try beginner classes with games and drama, hear how AI is changing language learning, and meet graduates on the Careers with Languages panel.
The Bath Language Show is a free, campus-based taster event at the University of Bath for Year 12 and Year 13 students interested in languages at university. It is designed to give prospective applicants a lively introduction to studying languages and to show how language learning connects with culture, creativity and global citizenship.
Across the day, attendees can take part in interactive workshops, taster sessions and live performances. The programme explores languages through literary texts, visual art, music, popular culture and social media, and includes beginner language classes using games and drama.
Students will also hear about how artificial intelligence is changing language learning and widening the possibilities for future study. A key feature of the event is the Careers with Languages panel, where University of Bath graduates share their career journeys and explain how a modern languages degree can lead to opportunities across Europe and around the world.
Students can also meet academics and current students, discover the language programmes offered at Bath, and get a feel for the university community.
