University of Bradford Alternatives to Medicine

The University of Bradford’s Alternatives to Medicine session is an online event that introduces life and health science careers, alongside allied health professions, as possible alternatives to a career in medicine. It is designed to help students explore a range of routes into healthcare-related work and study, with a focus on options beyond the traditional medical degree pathway.

The session is suitable for UK students in Year 12 or Year 13, or the equivalent, who are considering applying to medicine and would like to broaden their understanding of related career areas. It is not part of the Progression Scheme Programme.
