Choose two subject taster sessions across options from engineering and psychology to sport and creative subjects. Spend a full day on campus with a welcome talk, tour and time to meet current students and academics. Lunch is provided free of charge.

University College Birmingham’s South Schools and Colleges Taster Day gives Year 12 and Year 13 students the chance to spend a full day on campus and get a feel for university life. It combines practical subject tasters with campus activities, so participants can explore their interests in a lively, hands-on setting.

Students choose two subject taster sessions from a wide range of options, including business, computing, engineering, psychology, sport, hospitality, tourism and creative subjects. Alongside the sessions, the day includes a welcome talk, a campus tour, time to meet current students and academics, and opportunities to ask questions about courses, student support and what studying at university is really like.

Lunch is provided free of charge, and the event is open to school and college groups as well as eligible individual students with permission from their school or college.
