Apply NowWant to study pharmacy? Join UEA's 18-month Preparing for Pharmacy mentoring programme - get one-to-one guidance, campus experience and a pharmacy work placement to boost your UCAS application and ease the jump to university.
Preparing for Pharmacy is an 18-month outreach programme run by the University of East Anglia to support students on their journey to studying pharmacy. It is open to Year 12 / Level 3 Year 1 students in Norfolk and North East Suffolk and offers guidance, mentoring and practical experiences to help with UCAS applications and transition to university study.
Participants will attend on-campus events to familiarise themselves with university life, take part in a pharmacy work experience placement arranged near their home, receive e-mentoring from a current UEA Pharmacy student from day one until the end of Year 13 / Level 3 Year 2, and take part in practice pharmacy interviews. The programme also provides A Level Chemistry revision support, problem-based learning activities with pharmacy students and academics, and skills development relevant to the profession.
If students successfully complete both the placement week and the interview preparation day and meet the relevant entry requirements, they will be guaranteed an interview for UEA's MPharm Pharmacy or MPharm Pharmacy with a Preparatory Year course. The programme is free to join and application details will be announced in early 2026.
The programme is completely free for participants.
