University of East Anglia Subject Insight Days

Subject Insight Days at the University of East Anglia are one-day, on-campus events designed to give Year 12 / Level 3 Year 1 students a hands-on understanding of what it’s like to study a subject at university. Each day includes practical workshops, talks and opportunities to meet academics and current UEA students who deliver sessions and answer questions.

Events run throughout the academic year and are subject-specific so you can explore a subject you are considering after sixth form or college. Sign-ups open approximately 12 weeks before each event; if your preferred date is not yet available you are encouraged to check back later.

The activities are aimed at informing subject choices and preparing students for higher education decisions.

UEA uses an IMD postcode checker to identify applicants from areas with low progression to higher education as part of its eligibility assessment. For questions about the events you can contact the outreach team at outreach@uea.ac.uk.
