Spend one or two weeks gaining work experience in a university setting, exploring a field that interests you and building your skills. Placements are considered by the relevant school or department, depending on staff availability.
University of East Anglia offers work experience placements for students in education who are aged 14 to 18. The scheme provides either a one-week or two-week block, giving participants the chance to enhance their skills and gain experience within a chosen field.
It is designed for students who want a closer look at working life in a university environment and to explore potential career interests.
To apply, students should complete an initial expression of interest form with details of their area of interest and return it to the Reward and Career Enablement Team by email. Applications are passed to the relevant school or department, where they are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on staff commitments and priorities.
UEA then replies to confirm whether a placement can be offered at that time.
