The University of Edinburgh Undergraduate Open Day

The University of Edinburgh’s Undergraduate Open Day gives prospective students the chance to explore the university, find out more about undergraduate study, and get a feel for the campus. It is an in-person event where visitors can browse the programme, attend talks, and learn more about studying at the institution.

Booking is required, and attendees can reserve places for activities such as talks, taster lectures, language and lab tasters, and most subject area tours. Information desks are available throughout the day for general queries, and the university notes that some activities may be busy, so prospective students are prioritised where space is limited.

The event also includes practical visitor support. Guests may be able to join some activities if places remain, and accessibility arrangements can be requested in advance, including accessible parking, British Sign Language interpretation, large print materials, assistive listening technology, and quiet spaces.

The university also advises visitors about check-in and follow-up through the booking confirmation email.
