CLOSED THIS CYCLE

Join the University of Essex for on-campus Insight Days offering a range of academic taster sessions across faculties, campus tours and student Q&A panels. Each Insight Day runs from 09:45 to 14:35 and gives students the chance to experience short lectures, practical activities and information about life at Essex.

Winter, Spring and Summer Insight Days focus on different subject clusters (Humanities & Social Sciences; Science & Health; Business, Law and related areas) and include taster sessions in subjects such as Psychology, Business, Law, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, History, Languages, Sociology, Sport and Health-related courses. Sessions include interactive activities (for example sports science tests) and faculty-led lectures on topics like human rights, branding, and social stratification.

These events are aimed primarily at secondary school students: Spring events target Year 12 and 13, while Summer and Winter events are open to Years 10to13. School groups bringing 10 or more post-16 students may claim a travel bursary of up to £150.

Students under 16 attending individually must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For enquiries, contact the Schools Engagement Team at schools-link@essex. ac.
