The University of Exeter Exeter Scholars Virtual Pathway is a Year 12 university outreach programme delivered online for students who meet the university's eligibility criteria. It brings participants into contact with Exeter’s academic environment through subject taster sessions, live panels, guidance sessions, and opportunities to speak with current students about university life.

The pathway begins with a compulsory two-week virtual activities fortnight. Participants are expected to complete around 16. 5 hours of academic content across the fortnight, with much of the material designed to be flexible and completed in their own time.

Live events include a welcome talk, peer interaction, academic panels, and information sessions, while the core subject course is completed on the university’s virtual learning platform. Students choose from four subject strands: Humanities, Arts and Culture; Medicine and Health Sciences; Physical, Life and Environmental Sciences; and Social Sciences and Business.

The programme is designed to help participants explore degree-level study, build transferable skills, and make informed decisions about future higher education pathways. All participants must agree to the programme Code of Conduct as part of the application process.
