University of Glasgow
Apply NowThe University of Glasgow Widening Participation Summer School is a four-week programme (Monday 15 June to Friday 10 July 2026) designed to help eligible applicants meet conditional UCAS offers and prepare for university life. Full Summer School participants study two academic subjects from a broad list (including Biology, Chemistry, Computing Science, Engineering, English Literature, History, Mathematics, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Languages and others) and complete an online Academic Skills Module hosted on Moodle.
Some participants may only need to complete the Academic Skills Module depending on their UCAS offer wording. The programme runs Monday to Friday with around 20 hours of contact per week (individual timetables may vary).
Students within travelling distance are expected to attend on campus or via a hybrid model; participants living further away will be offered fully online places (online places are limited). Participants must attend at least 75% of classes and achieve a grade C or above in subjects and the Academic Skills Module to pass.
Places are guaranteed where Summer School is specified as a condition of offer. Results are released on the same day as SQA results in August. For queries contact wpsummerschool@glasgow.
