Discover Days are free, on-campus taster days run by the Faculty of Humanities for Year 12 students who want to explore specific subjects and university life at Manchester. Each subject day features taster sessions, short lectures, practical or workshop activities, and opportunities to meet current undergraduates and academics.
The events are designed to help you experience elements of degree study, learn about careers related to each subject, and strengthen your personal statement. Events are free to attend; travel bursaries are available to widening participation students who meet the stated criteria.
Bookings are made via the online booking form linked on each subject page.

Location
- Open to Year 12 students.
- Travel bursary available for widening participation students who meet at least one of: currently or previously in receipt of free school meals; currently in receipt of the 16-19 bursary; currently enrolled on the Manchester Access Programme (MAP); care-experienced; or have refugee status.
Free on-campus one-day events. Travel bursaries are available for eligible widening participation students (criteria applies); further information provided on booking confirmation.
