The Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Oxford hosts information and activities for prospective undergraduate applicants during the University's 2026 undergraduate Open Days. The Faculty emphasises that Philosophy is studied as part of a joint degree and lists common combinations (for example, Classics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Modern Languages, PPE, Theology, Physics, Psychology and Linguistics).
The Faculty stand will be based at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities where staff and current students will be available to answer questions. During Open Days an information stand will be available (noted as open from 9.
00am), with academic staff and current students on hand and additional events in the Schwarzman Building especially for those interested in Philosophy paired with Theology or Linguistics. Visitors are encouraged to also visit the partner departments for their chosen joint subject (for example the Classics Faculty, Department of Computer Science, Mathematical Institute, Department of Physics and Life and Mind Building) to attend talks and meet staff and students.
There is no single "Philosophy Open Day" timetable-applicants should check the official University timetables and departmental/college schedules in advance. Most Open Day events are drop-in and you do not need to register, though some sessions require advance booking.
Some colleges offer free or subsidised accommodation for visitors and assistance with travel costs; the MyOxford app and the University's Open Days pages provide planning and timetable information.
