The University of Oxford History Taster Day 2026 is an in-person outreach event for state school students in Year 12 (or equivalent) who are seriously considering applying to Oxford to study History as a single or joint honours degree. The day is designed to introduce students to the academic content and admissions process for History at Oxford.
Activities include academic-style lectures, a demonstration interview to show how Oxford admissions interviews work, and detailed admissions information. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet current undergraduate students to learn about student life and study at Oxford.
A free two-course hot lunch will be provided, and travel support will be available to help eligible students attend.
Location
- Must be in Year 12 (or equivalent)

- Seriously considering applying to the University of Oxford to study History (single or joint honours)
