The University of Oxford Law Taster Day 2026 is a full-day programme designed for students in Year 12 (or equivalent) at UK schools. The event provides participants with the chance to explore the study of Jurisprudence at Oxford through a mix of lectures, seminars and workshops led by Oxford academics.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the University and see parts of college life and facilities.
Priority for places is given to students from under-represented backgrounds. The programme aims to give prospective applicants a clearer sense of academic study in law at Oxford, to introduce key ideas and learning styles used in undergraduate law teaching, and to support students considering applying to study Jurisprudence at university.
